Waypoint 20: The winepress Map route 1

Moving a little bit away from geology, we cannot ignore the ethnological patrimony of the village. In the depths of the valley and on the fertile zones of the surroundings vines are cultivated, when grapes are collected, then they are pressed and wine is made.

This winepress belonged to 4 different families, each one owned of one of the corners, the introduced the grapes and then received the wine in the proportion of the grapes given.

Through the windows they dropped the grapes (after weighing them) that were carried in wicker basquets into the upper tank and there they stepped it.The used a wooden structure that was positioned between the grapes and the upper big woods with a worm screw anchored with a big chalky boulder that pushed enough to get the juice of the fruit which passed to the lower tank. After all it was transported to the wineries.

Depending on the amount of grapes delivered, they received the proportional part in bulk tanks of grape juice.

Waypoint 11. "Tapiology" the geology and its environment   (Map Route 2) This wall has been built using different rocks of its surroundings, we can practically indicate in a clear way, where all or almost all the rocks that form it have come from. If we look in detail we see several rocks with the already classic rudists, (these tubes or circular holes in the rocks). ROUTE 3 WAYPOINT 17

Waypoint 17: Ochre Dolomites (Route 3 Map) At this point it is possible to find the ochre dolomites seen at point 8 again, although the quality of the outcrop is somewhat worse. We can see how it is made up of red dolomites formed by small oolites. All of them are associated with the moment when the sea level began to rise, but still with a low water level.

RUTA 1 PUNTO 1 Y RUTA 3 PUNTO 18

Punto 1: Las Margas iniciales  (Plano Ruta 1)   (Plano Ruta 3) En este punto se observa la primera unidad blanda de la secuencia sedimentaria que forma DS-2. Esta unidad representa  hasta los primeros estratos que dan cierto resalte al cortejo TST, es decir Transgresivo, asociado a una rápida subida del nivel del mar lo que da una rocas de origen marino relativamente profundo. La primera unidad dura que da un ligero saliente mayor representa la superficie de máxima inundación (MFS). A partir de este nivel la tasa de subida del nivel del mar se desacelera haciendo que se vea compensado por el aporte de sedimentos hasta que inicia el cortejo de alto nivel del mar (HST). Paleontológicamente en esta unidad destacan unos ostreidos de gran tamaño, con una valva inferior muy pesada que le permite estabilizarse en el sustrato.
